David J. Lynn

Christian faith in public. Service close to people.

Pastor David J. Lynn speaking into a microphone

David J. Lynn is a Toronto pastor, evangelist, community leader, husband, father, and fitness coach who has spent years working directly with people in churches, neighbourhoods, and on the streets.

Leadership begins close enough to people to see what policies alone cannot explain.

01

Ministry and mentorship

As pastor of Christ’s Forgiveness Ministries and founder of Kingdom Fitness, David has focused on faith, mentorship, personal responsibility, youth development, fitness, family, and community outreach.

02

Toronto’s challenges up close

His experience has brought him face-to-face with many of Toronto’s challenges, including affordability, homelessness, addiction, public safety, family breakdown, religious freedom, and the need for stronger opportunities for young people.

03

Freedom of religion and expression

David also knows personally what it means to face hostility for openly expressing his Christian faith—from being bullied in high school to experiencing marginalization in public life. Those experiences strengthened his conviction that Toronto must protect freedom of religion, freedom of expression, and the civil liberties of every citizen.

No Torontonian should be intimidated, excluded, or treated unfairly because of sincerely held beliefs.

04

A healthier, more accountable city

David believes Toronto should be safer, more ethical, more affordable, healthier, more accountable, and better managed, with greater investment in families, transit, recreation, housing, clean communities, civil liberties, and responsible government.

05

Leadership as service

His approach to leadership is rooted in service, courage, responsibility, freedom, and a commitment to putting people and communities first.
